hernia surgery is a surgical programs intended to treat inguinal hernia surgery and teach in low and middle income countries. It was initiated in 2005 in Takoradi, Ghana and now operates in three other countries of West Africa, in Mongolia and in Ecuador and with plans for further expansion in 2011. Operation Hernia is an independent UK charity and non-profit organisation, which has links with the American College of Surgeons Operation GivingBack organisation.
